About Military History Perspectives by Ken Nesbitt

The history of armed conflict is the study of warfare, great battles, leaders, soldiers, strategy and tactics.  It is also a study in the evolution of nations and cultures, as well as the transition of technology and its effect on war.

Ken Nesbitt is a military history enthusiast who has spent the past 20 years providing battlefield tours and presentations. Ken has an undergraduate degree in Political Studies and History, and a Masters degree from the Canadian Royal Military College in War Studies. His military career spanned 27 years in the Canadian Air Force as an air operations and command and control specialist. He retired as a Lieutenant Colonel.  After the military, Ken joined the US defense company Raytheon, working on NATO Air Command and Control and Ballistic Missile Defense. During his 25 years living in Europe, Ken had the opportunity to travel, tour and study the rich history. During this time, Ken became a published author on a variety of military topics. He has turned his passion for the subject into a series of interesting presentations examining the stories, personalities and conditions surrounding some of the significant events and great battles in Western military history.
